Milling Hotel Gestus

A very good location next to the city centre. Plenty of restaurants and shopping + sights within a very short walking distance. An afternoon snack at the reception + free coffee/tea 24/7. 2 lifts to go to the upper floors so no queuing for that. Very good breakfast. Nice staff. Nice-looking lobby area. No noise in the hotel. A nice rooftop view from our room on the 5th floor.

24h reception, the exception nowadays in Scandinavia. I arrived after midnight due to a missed train connection but the hotel is only a short walk from the station and I could still order a goodnight beer in the extensive and cosy lobby. Excellent location in every way. Exceptionally friendly, you can chat with the reception staff. A good breakfast was included in the room price: Everything from eggs, to fresh fruit, to pastries. A degree of Danish humour in the place too - wait until you see how you can signal whether you want the room cleaned or not...

Comfortable room, very friendly staff, free beverages all day long, very good breakfast, 15 minutes from center of Aalborg, parking space right across the street. The lady in the reception was kind enough to offer to dry our clothes when we got soaking wet one night.

- This is an interesting property which is different from other modern hotels. No fancy things. Just basic ones. But well maintained and clean. - The staff is amazing and the breakfast is a good spread. - The coffee machine at the lobby (with even hot chocolate) was available 24x7; Free snacks in the evening was a nice initiative.

Almost everything was spot on, but what I liked the most was to find friendly, smiling faces after a very long trip. It really felt as welcoming as it can get. Sadly, we only stayed one night in our passing through the night, but the beds were really comfortable, the room for three was very accommodating, spacious and very clean. The food (breakfast) was excellent, with lots of options. It seems to be in a part of the town where one can have access to shops, grocery stores, etc.; however, we did not explore that aspect. There is a small parking place that needs to be arranged with the hotel before your trip, but it seems there are other parking spots nearby.
